With the World going green, it would be logical to make one of the highest-selling beverages on the market to follow suit. However, to this date, you will find that the many companies which supply water to the masses are still using the plastic variety that we find throughout our neighborhoods, parks, and eventually landfills. It's time for everyone to take the steps that will ultimately improve our environment and our health, and the one way to do that is by using a re-usable metal water bottle.
Many of our states will soon be imposing a recycle tax or fee to the cost of a bottle of water, like most soft drinks already have. However, with most bottled water being consumed on the go, there's still the significant possibility that those empty water bottles will never see the inside of a recycling container. It's a step in the right direction, but we need to go further to ensure the importance of this pressing issue.
Water bottles are manufactured using polyethylene terephthalate, or PET, and are known to take longer to recycle than any other containing product out there. Many folks believe they are helping the environment out by re-using the water bottles that they already have within their homes. But what they fail to acknowledge, or even understand, is that those said water bottles are not intended for re-use. There is a chance of possible bacteria contamination from the re-use of plastic water bottles. They have also been known to emit a hormone disrupter called phthalates that can be harmful to the person that consumes the water within them. Metal water bottles will prevent this possibility from happening.
Metal water bottles are the obvious solution to a problem that has been ignored for years. These environmentally-safe metal water bottles are not only re-usable, but they hinder any absorption of the troublesome endocrine chemical bisphenol-A, or BPA. This toxin is leached into your drinking water through the plastic that contains your beverage. It has been known to cause increased estrogen, which in turn can hinder developmental growth and behavioral issues for the young. Outdoor enthusiasts and such will no longer be in danger of consuming this toxin through their more sturdy plastic water bottles, which are just as vulnerable as those plastic water bottles. Metal water bottles remove the possibility of this absorption occurring.
By instituting the practice of using stainless steel metal water bottles instead of plastic bottles, our environment will soon become a safe place for future generations to enjoy. Through the use of these non- leaching containers, your health as well as your family's health, will no longer be a matter of concern where BPA is involved. It's time to get the word out, and educate the masses on the benefits of using metal water bottles for the future to be a successful one.
